Financial Controller - Temporary to Permanent Position

This is a fantastic newly created opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the business on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will manage a team of 6 as well as take responsibility for management accounting and statutory reporting. This role will be based 2 days per week in the office near Dartford.

Description

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

· Producing the monthly management accounts, ensuring monthly journals are processed and that robust reconciliations are in place

· Producing monthly balance sheet reviews and rectify any discrepancies

· VAT returns

· Oversee the audit process, ensuring the accurate provision of data to auditors

· Take control of the 'stock' element of the audit

· Work with the FD on producing a reliable cash flow forecasting model as well as a robust forecasting model

· Work closely with the FD to develop a finance business partnering lead with the rest of the business

· Manage a team of 6

Profile

My client is looking for someone with the following profile:

· Qualified Accountant

· Experience of managing and mentoring small finance teams

· Demonstrable experience as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager, including having produced both the management and statutory accounts

· A hands-on and proactive attitude

· The ability to start immediately / at short notice

· Experience of producing / developing forecasting models would be useful
