Financial Officer - Maternity Cover

Search Capital is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a 9-month maternity cover contract, with potential extension to 12 months. As a fast-growing, international group operating across Europe and the USA, we provide shared services and strategic support to our portfolio businesses.

Your Responsibilities

• Processing weekly/monthly contractor timesheets and sales and purchase invoices using Xero and Excel


• Acting as first point of contact for payment and timesheet queries


• Managing intercompany recharges and overseeing Accounts Payable across multiple entities


• Conducting multi-currency bank reconciliations (GBP, USD, EUR, CHF)


• Managing supplier payments, expenses and credit cards via Payhawk


• Supporting monthly and quarterly management accounts


• Preparing quarterly VAT returns


• Creating and maintaining Excel reports (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)


• Assisting with year-end audits and improving finance processes

Your Profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role


• Experience with Xero or comparable software


• Strong Excel skill


• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA preferred but not essential
