Michael Page are currently recruiting for a leading Financial Services firm who are based in Central London who are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join them on a 4-6 week period to cover sick leave. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of statutory and management financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.

The role requires an applicant who holds several years of experience so that they are able to hit the ground running and support immediately.

Description

Key duties of the role will include but will not be limited to:

• Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP / IFRS
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
• Support the year-end audit process, providing requested documentation and commentary
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors as required
• Review and validate financial data to ensure reporting accuracy
• Assist in the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger
• Support with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks

Profile

• Strong experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation
• Background in financial services or banking preferred
• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle or similar ERP system desirable
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Immediately available

Job Offer

Immediate start + London based role + Office based position + Modern office space based in The City of London + Salary ranging up to £80,000c dependent on experience + Day rate will be offered + Financial Services industry exposure + Temporary role offering 4-6 weeks of employment
