Floating Support Service Manager - South London

Location: South London - to be revealed upon application (great transport links)

Duration: Interim contract (2-3 months, with potential extension)

Pay Rate: £31.56 via umbrella or PAYE £22.84+holiday pay = £25.60 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Sector: Homelessness / Housing Support

An established London-based organisation tackling homelessness is seeking an experienced Interim Lead Manager to oversee a Private Rented Sector tenancy sustainment service. This vital role leads a team delivering floating support to vulnerable individuals at risk of losing their housing or experiencing repeat homelessness.

The role is an interim cover while the permanent post is being recruited. You'll play a crucial leadership role in maintaining service quality, supporting staff, and working collaboratively with external partners including housing providers, statutory services, and voluntary sector organisations.

The Role

  • Lead and manage a tenancy sustainment service focused on individuals with complex needs in the private rented sector.
  • Ensure consistent, person-centred support and promote long-term housing stability and independence.
  • Provide operational leadership, including line management, casework oversight, and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with commissioners, landlords, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the team through a period of transition, offering stability, focus, and strategic oversight.



About You

  • Strong experience in managing tenancy sustainment, floating support, or similar housing-related services.
  • Skilled in managing people, performance, and relationships across complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Comfortable working within safeguarding frameworks and supporting clients with multiple and/or high support needs.
  • Proficient in using databases and Microsoft Office tools for performance tracking and service delivery.
  • Organised, resilient, and able to lead teams through change confidently.
