FLT Dumper Excavator Operative

Are you an experienced and licensed FLT driver? Perhaps you are an experienced Dumper/Excavator Driver? Are you based in or around Woodhall Spa?

We have an initially temporary Plant Operative role available within Holcims Woodhall Spa site. This role is ideal for someone with good communication skills and is punctual, safety conscious and a proficient FLT Operative. An experienced Dumper/Excavator driver would be advantageous.

Location: Holcim, Woodhall Spa Quarry,Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6YN

Rate: £12.60ph for FLT Operative. £16ph for Dumper/Excavator

Contract length: 3 months initially with the possibility of a permanent position

Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 07:00-17:00 with a one hour unpaid lunch break (45 hours per week)

Start: ASAP (within 1 weeek)

Responsibilities:

• Removing bags from the bulk bagging operation and storing or loading them accordingly
• Loading 850kg bags onto trailers
• Operating a 2.5 and 3 tonne Forklift effectively and safely at all times
• Carrying out duties assigned within the units daily tasks
• Basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks as required
• Being part of daily and monthly recording of inspections
• Adhering to Health and Safety procedures at all times

Essential requirements:

• Forklift Licence
• Experience operating 2.5 and 3 tonne Forklift Counterbalance
• Good English and Maths skills
• Sound verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• Ability to follow risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Ability to work independently as well as supporting team members

Desirable requirements:

• Driving licence and use of a car
• MEWP, Telehandler operation experience
• Previous experience within a Quarry environment
