Your New Role

As a Cover Food Teacher, you will step into a supportive teaching environment for a single day, delivering pre-planned lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and/or 4. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and structured food technology lessons
• Managing the classroom effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
• Supporting students with practical cooking tasks and safety procedures
• Following the school's policies and safeguarding procedures
• Providing feedback on student progress where appropriate

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible and professional approach to short-term cover
• Awareness of health, safety, and hygiene in a food classroom
