The Role

As a Food Technology & Textiles Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Food Technology and Textiles
• Develop students' practical skills, creativity, and understanding of design principles and nutrition
• Use a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners, including those with diverse abilities
• Prepare students for assessments and encourage enthusiasm for the subject
• Support extracurricular activities such as food clubs or textiles projects

Person Specification / Requirements

To succeed, you will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Food Technology and Textiles in a UK secondary school setting
• Be confident in delivering practical and theory lessons that engage students
• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment where possible
