Forklift Driver/Warehouse Assistant

Market 36 are recruiting for a Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join a busy and dynamic team based in Earls Colne. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work required depending on business needs. Where possible, a weekday off in lieu is provided when Saturday work is required, and overtime will be paid.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and ideally has additional Reach/Flexi/Bendi truck experience, although this is not essential. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and should be willing to undertake a variety of warehouse duties alongside forklift operation.

Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Location: Earls Colne

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 (Saturdays required on a rota basis depending on business needs)

Salary: £26,000 -£27,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts in a busy warehouse and yard environment
• Daily checks of forklift equipment and reporting any faults
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating goods within the warehouse
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Stock replenishment and inventory checks
• Stacking goods onto pallets and racking with care and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Liaise with warehouse team members and fulfilment managers
• General warehouse duties including housekeeping, stock checks, and assisting colleagues

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Proven experience operating forklifts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
• Good organisational and time management skills

Desirable:

• Additional licences such as Flexi, Reach, Bendi, or Pivot
• Previous warehouse experience including stock management and order fulfilment
• Awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Computer literate
