Forklift Operator

We are recruiting for skilled Forklift Truck Operators to join our logistics client based in Washington, Sunderland.

Duties:

• Operate counterbalance Forklift Truck adhering to strict health and safety
• Load and unload materials from lorries and storage area
• Ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials throughout the warehouse
• Accurately record inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling as required
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment
  

Skills:

• Experienced counterbalance Forklift Truck operator
• Experienced working in a logistics and warehouse setting
• Experienced using hand-held scanners
• Experienced working within a strict health and safety environment
• Basic maths skills for inventory management
• Automotive logistics experience would be advantageous

Shifts:

Weekly rotation, days and lates.

Days: 07:00am - 15:18pm

Lates 16:20pm - 00:38am

Overtime schedule:

1 hour per day Monday - Thursday

5-8 hours on a Saturday when on day shift rotation

Pay:

Dayshift: £12.53 per hour

Lateshift: £14.40 per hour

Overtime: Time and a half / Double Time.
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
