Summary:
The Salesforce Solution Consultant will be a pivotal member of
our team, specializing in understanding and optimizing the Salesforce
experience for higher education institutions. You will engage with diverse
stakeholders, analyse their needs, and translate those requirements into
actionable solutions within the Salesforce platform. Your ability to bridge the
gap between business goals and technical execution will be essential for
enhancing student success, streamlining administrative processes, and driving
overall institutional efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Requirements Gathering
& Analysis: Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business
requirements from various stakeholders across the university, ensuring a deep
understanding of their needs and challenges.
· Solution Design: Translate
business requirements into well-defined functional and technical
specifications, aligning solutions with Salesforce best practices and the
unique requirements of the higher education sector.
· Process Optimization: Identify
opportunities to improve and streamline business processes, leveraging
Salesforce capabilities to automate tasks, enhance data management, and
increase efficiency.
· Data Analysis &
Management: Analyse data usage patterns, sources, and quality requirements,
ensuring data integrity and facilitating informed decision-making through
effective reporting and dashboards.
· Stakeholder
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with diverse teams including
faculty, staff, administrators, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless
implementation and adoption of Salesforce solutions.
· Change Management: Support
user adoption and training efforts, providing guidance and resources to ensure
a smooth transition and maximize the benefits of Salesforce across the institution.
· Continuous
Improvement: Stay abreast of Salesforce releases, features, and
industry trends, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance existing
solutions and drive innovation.
Requirements:
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years
of experience in a Salesforce Solution Consultant role, preferably within the
higher education sector.
· Education:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology,
business, or a related field is required.
· A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Information Systems) is
preferred but not mandatory.
· Salesforce Expertise:
· Proven experience in Salesforce implementation and configuration
within a higher education environment.
· Salesforce certifications, such as Sales Cloud Consultant,
Service Cloud Consultant, or Education Cloud Consultant, are highly preferred.
· Deep understanding of Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA)
and its application in university settings.
· Business Analysis:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to
translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
· Experience in business process modelling, documentation, and
creating clear, concise user stories.
· Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data to
inform strategic decisions and solution design.
· Communication &
Collaboration:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the
ability to present complex technical information in a clear and accessible
manner to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate
effectively with diverse teams across different departments and levels of
seniority.
· Experience working in an agile environment and facilitating
effective communication between technical and business teams.
· Technical Aptitude:
· Familiarity with Salesforce development technologies (Apex,
Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) is a plus, though not required.
· Understanding of data models, integration concepts, and platform
limitations.
· Comfortable using tools like Visio for process mapping and
documentation.
· Industry Knowledge:
· Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing
higher education institutions.
· Experience working with student information systems (SIS),
learning management systems (LMS), or other educational technologies is a plus.
