Functional Skills Tutor

Morgan Hunt are working with an community focused Training Provider who are recruiting for a Functional Skills English and Maths Tutor. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a possibility for extension. The role will involve travelling across the clients 2 sites near Brixton and Deptford delivering in person. The role will involve teaching post 16 and adult learners Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2. The salary for this role is paying between £27,000-£29,000.

The Functional Skills English and Maths Tutor will be responsible for:

• creating lesson plans and schemes of work
• delivering Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2
• tracking, monitoring and reporting on learner progress with wider curriculum team
• providing IAG to learners
• completing necessary documentation required by the organisation for awarding bodies and other external organisations
• preparing for EQA visits
• conducting reviews with the quality team

The Functional Skills English and Maths Tutor will need to have:

• a Level 5 teaching qualification
• experience of teaching Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2 to post 16 and adult learners
• classroom management experience
• a minimum of grade C in English and Maths or equivalent
• the ability to travel across clients sites
