Funeral Coordinator (Maternity Cover – 9 month FTC) – September Start

Sevenoaks - £26,000 - £30,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm – (Includes one overnight on-call shift every 12 weeks)

An enriching position has become available for a compassionate and highly organised individual to become part of a fast-paced and caring team as a Funeral Arrangements Coordinator on a temporary maternity cover contract.

Main Duties

• Act as the initial point of contact for telephone calls, visitors, and online enquiries
• Guide families with sensitivity and professionalism throughout the funeral planning journey
• Organise all aspects of the ceremony, such as venues, officiants, transportation, floral tributes, and necessary paperwork
• Design and produce bespoke Orders of Service featuring meaningful content like images, readings, and music
• Keep thorough records and update company systems accurately
• Communicate with service partners and internal colleagues to ensure smooth and respectful proceedings

About You

• Genuinely caring with excellent communication abilities
• Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
• Prior experience in a related role is beneficial, though full instruction will be provided
• Presentable, articulate, and professional in demeanour
