Are you a vigilant, professional, and reliable individual looking for a contract role? We have an immediate opportunity for a gateman to join our team on a busy new build housing site in Beverley. This is a crucial role ensuring site security and efficient access.

As our gateman, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and deliveries to our active housing development. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Controlling access to and from the site, ensuring only authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries enter.
• Managing vehicle movements at the gate, directing deliveries and ensuring safe passage for plant and machinery.
• Maintaining accurate records of all visitors, deliveries, and vehicle movements.
• Conducting visual checks of vehicles and personnel as they enter/exit the site.
• Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations, reporting any concerns or incidents immediately.
• Greeting visitors professionally and directing them appropriately.
• Assisting with general site security and maintaining a tidy gate area.

We need someone who is:

• Experienced in a Gateman/Traffic Marshall role, ideally within a construction or busy site environment.
• Posses a valid gateman ticket (e.g. CPCS / NPORS).
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact clearly and professionally with a range of people.
• Is highly vigilant and attentive to detail, with a strong focus on security and safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and highly disciplined.
• Able to maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
• A basic understanding of health and safety on construction sites is preferred.
