Job Description - General Insurance Complaint Handler

Huntswood is looking for experienced insurance complaint handlers to join a leading insurance group. If you have a strong background in insurance, excellent communication skills, and are looking for a new challenge, then we have a role for you.

Start Date: Monday, 25th August 2025

Day Rate: £180 per day (Umbrella only - we can assist you with setting this up)

Location:Working from home

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Contract Duration: Initially 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use your insurance knowledge to resolve travel insurance claims complaints
  • Make outbound calls to gather additional information and resolve complaints efficiently
  • Draft clear and concise final response letters to customers

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in general insurance complaint handling (travel insurance claims experience is a plus)
  • Strong experience in writing bespoke final response letters
  • Good understanding of FOS complaint guidelines and Consumer Duty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable navigating multiple in-house systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word
