General Teaching Assistant - Wigan

We're currently looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 2, offering 1:1 and small group support to pupils who benefit from a more tailored approach to learning. This is an opportunity to play a vital role in building children's confidence, improving engagement, and supporting progress.

• Providing academic support in reading, writing, SPaG, and numeracy
• Offering 1:1 and small group interventions
• Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
• Developing positive, trusting relationships with children
• Monitoring pupil progress and working alongside class teachers and the SENCO
• Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain a focused learning environment
• Supporting during breaks, lunchtimes, and start/end of the school day

• School-based experience (KS2 preferred)
• Comfortable working with children with a range of academic and/or behavioural needs
• A minimum of a Level 2 TA qualification (Level 3 desirable)
• A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Two recent, relevant references
