Hays Education are currently recruiting for a teacher at a local City of Glastonbury Primary School, starting in October. This role is a part-time position and is on a fixed-term basis. You will be working 3 days a week, covering this Year 2 class up until the Christmas holidays, with the possibility to extend. You will be able to pair these 3 days with 2 days of supply, another long-term role or, if you feel 3 days is what you are looking for, this is the perfect role for you!
Your new role
You'll be working in a rewarding and exciting group of students in a year 2 classroom, planning and delivering lessons ranging from numeracy, literacy, phonics and spelling; focusing on these basics before the class moves up into KS2. This role can be perfect for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or highly experienced educators that are looking for a change of pace in their career.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE) or relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience within the last 5 years
Eligibility to work in the UK
Good knowledge of the English National curriculum
