GP Surgery Pharmacist - Birmingham - 2 day per week

• Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber – ARRS funded)

• Location: GP Surgery – Birmingham

• Duration: 6 months minimum (with review)

• Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 9:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)

• Start Date: July 2025

• End Date: Minimum 6-month contract

• Rate of Pay: £28 – £33 per hour via LTD DOE

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join a supportive GP surgery team and play a key role in delivering safe and effective care to patients through a wide range of clinical pharmacy services. In this role, you will:

• Conduct structured medication reviews and medicines reconciliation

• Manage and complete DOTMAN letters (prescribing experience preferred)

• Support with QOF work, clinical searches, and audits

• File and follow up on blood results, ensuring monitoring is completed

• Contribute to service development and ongoing care optimisation

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Independent Prescribing qualification (essential due to ARRS funding)

• Completion of or current enrolment in CPPE Primary Care Training Pathway

• Proven GP surgery experience and ability to hit the ground running

• EMIS Web experience

• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

• Confidence working on-site in a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a part-time locum position requiring availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, offering 7-hour days. The role is expected to last 6 months minimum, with the potential for extension.
