Graduate Classroom Support Assistant

Milk Education are currently working with Primary schools throughout Newcastle Upon-Tyne, who are looking to appoint Graduates for the academic year on a full time basis. You will be working with students, aged 5 – 11 that require both academic and pastoral support to ensure they are reaching their expected levels of progress.

You will have the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 basis providing tailored intervention sessions as well as supporting full class teachers in the classroom. There will also be opportunities to cover lessons gaining invaluable experience prior to starting a PGCE or schools direct teacher training programme.

We are looking for aspiring educators, who have graduated in any of the following categories;

· Maths

· English

· Science

· Languages

· Art and Design

· Psychology or Social Sciences

· Sport & Physical Activity

Key criteria:

• Must have a university degree 2:2 or above
• Previous experience of working with young people would be beneficial but not essential
• Clear desire to work with young people and become a teacher in the future
• Must be able to provide a minimum of two references within the past two years
• Willingness to undertake CPD training as asked by Milk and your placement school
