Graduate Fund Assistant

It is a uniquely run firm that possesses major influence within the investment management space, and this role poses an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking to continue developing their experience within financial services.

Your new role
The client is looking for a detail-oriented graduate to join their fund team on a 3-month contract, with the possibility to extend. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and confirming trade activity (e.g., equities, bonds, derivatives).
• Liaising with custodians, brokers, and internal teams to resolve trade discrepancies.
• Reconciling cash balances and holdings between internal systems and custodians, and investigating and resolving breaks or mismatches.
• Assisting in reviewing Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations provided by fund administrators, checking for accuracy.
• Assisting in the preparation of daily, weekly, or monthly reports for internal teams or clients.
• Maintaining accurate records of fund activity and transactions.
• Ensure dividends and interest payments are correctly recorded.
• Helping to ensure operational processes comply with internal policies and external regulations, and assisting with audits and regulatory reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

• A recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Proficient in Excel or familiarity with other fund accounting platforms
• Able to work to tight deadlines and take initiative, with strong organisational skills
• Personable and able to communicate confidently with various stakeholders
• Demonstrated interest in Financial Markets
