This welcoming secondary school in Haringey is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support the English department. This is a brilliant opportunity for an aspiring English teacher to build experience and support student progress in reading, writing and comprehension.

About the role:

• Supporting students in English lessons, both in-class and through targeted intervention
• Assisting with reading catch-up, creative writing tasks and GCSE preparation
• Encouraging a love of literature through 1:1 and small group work
• Helping students develop confidence in spoken and written communication
• Working closely with English teachers and SEN staff

About you:

• Degree in English, Creative Writing or related subject
• Strong literacy and communication skills
• A clear passion for education and student development
• Able to engage and inspire students of all abilities
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
