Are you a recent graduate looking to take your first step into education? We're working with a number of welcoming primary schools and early years settings across Barnsley who are seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, day-to-day and short-term classroom support.

This is a great opportunity to build experience in schools, develop your skills, and explore a future career in teaching or child development.

Location: Barnsley (Primary and Early Years settings)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Flexible supply work - daily and short-term placements available

Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

• Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning

• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and support routines

• Building valuable experience in different school environments

What You'll Need:

• A degree in any subject (2:2 or above preferred)

• A genuine passion for education and working with children

• A proactive attitude and strong communication skills

• Previous experience working with children is a bonus (voluntary or paid)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Flexibility to work across various schools in the Barnsley area
