Randstad are seeking a skilled and experienced Grass Cutting Seasonal Operative to join a busy team in Bridgend. You'll play a vital role in ensuring parks, verges, and green spaces are beautifully maintained, enhancing the quality of life for our community.

• Temporary Assignment: 26 weeks
• Hourly Rate: £12.65
• Location: Bridgend

What You'll Do:

• Grass Cutting and Maintenance: Carry out grass cutting and grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and using various equipment. You'll work on a range of locations, including highway verges, central reservations, and other designated areas.
• Equipment Operation: Become proficient in operating a variety of equipment, including ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers, and other handheld tools.
• Fleet Management: Be responsible for the safekeeping and proper operation of the fleet, plant, and equipment allocated to you. Report any damage or defects and assist the Superintendent in managing these resources efficiently.
• Public Interaction: Communicate and respond to general public inquiries while undertaking duties, escalating issues to the Superintendent when necessary.
• Safety First: Actively participate in excellent health and safety practices and operate in a safe and responsible manner.

What We're Looking For:

• Essential Requirements:

* A reasonable standard of education and the ability to demonstrate competence through experience.

* Charter 8 certification.

* Experience of outdoor manual working in all weathers.

* Geographical knowledge of the county.

* Knowledge of health and safety practices.

* Experience in the use of hand tools, mowers, strimmers, blowers, ride-on mowers, and trailers.

* Experience dealing with the public and Councillors.

* Demonstrate ability or experience in working on the highway, including working within safety zones when carrying out works under chapter 8 regulations.

* Ability to form constructive working relationships with colleagues.

* Good communicator.

* Ability to work in a team.

* Hold a valid UK driving licence.
