Job Description - Grinder



My client is a dynamic player who are part of a rapidly expanding group who specialise in high- precision components for highly regulated industries and are currently need a Grinder to join the business on rotating day shifts. If you have experience setting and operating CNC Machines, Used manual grinding wheels and worked to tight tolerances then this is the job for you!

Bolton, greater Manchester
Contract inside ir35
Week 1 -Mon-Wed 7.30am-7pm
Week 2 - Wed-Fri 7.30am-7pm

Key Roles & Responsibilities as a Grinder:
  • To set and operate CNC machinery.
  • To operate Manual machining centres if applicable.
  • Change tool inserts and re-set/alter offsets to achieve drawing specifications and tolerances.
  • To read/understand and correctly interpret Engineering Drawings.
  • Keeping waste to a minimum.



Essential Experience as a Grinder:
  • Used manual grinding wheel
  • Used vertical and horizontal machines; can manage wheel speeds
  • Work to tight tolerance 1 cell – 0.5 cell
  • Worked in highly regulated environments
