Ground Maintenance Regional Operator

Are you passionate about working outdoors and making a visible impact on the environment? We are looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Regional Operator to join United Utilities Asset Management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving the standards of our operational and non-operational land, including water and wastewater treatment sites.

• Grounds maintenance, vegetation management, soft landscaping, and minor building repairs.
• Operate and maintain a range of machinery including mowers, tractors, and robotic equipment.
• Apply pesticides and manage invasive weeds.
• Record work using corporate systems and maintain material stock levels.
• Support new starters and liaise with site staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

? Experience in grounds maintenance and outdoor site work
? Skilled in using specialist machinery (e.g., mowers, strimmers, tractors)
? Strong planning, communication, and customer service skills
? Full clean driving licence with B+E trailer entitlement

• City & Guilds Level 2 in Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1)
• City & Guilds Level 2 in Safe Application using Hand Held Equipment (PA6/PA6INJ/PA6W)
• NPTC Level 2 in Manually Fed Wood Chipper Operations
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 in Safe Use of Powered Pole Pruner
• Additional qualifications in agricultural or land-based industries (City & Guilds / NVQ / Lantra)
