Grounds Maintenance Operative

Working for a leading social housing provider in the Widnes area.
Your new role

Carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance work, such as:

1. Grass Cutting: Using powered mowers and strimmers to maintain lawns and grassy areas
2. Hedge and Shrub Maintenance: Trimming hedges and shrubs using powered hedge cutters, and pruning plants as needed
3. Weeding and Spraying: Removing weeds and applying herbicides to hard surfaces and kerb edges
4. Litter Collection: Picking up litter and ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy
5. Tree Maintenance: Basic tree care, such as removing damaged or broken limbs
6. Seasonal Planting: Planting and maintaining seasonal bedding and shrubs
7. Pathway Maintenance: Clearing and sweeping pathways to keep them free of debris
8. Customer Interaction: Addressing customer enquiries and complaints promptly and effectively
9. Health and Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery

What you'll need to succeed

For this role you will need:
- Previous experience working as a Grounds Maintenance Operator
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good ground maintenance knowledge
- Full PPE
- Previous references
