My dynamic client, a rapidly expanding multi-site retail and FMCG business with international operations, seeks an experienced Group Accountant for an immediate 6-month contract. This high-profile role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and complex group accounting within a thriving market leader.

Working closely with the Group Financial Director, you'll drive statutory reporting, manage audit relationships, and ensure robust financial controls across multiple locations. This is a pivotal finance position within an ambitious, profitable organisation experiencing significant growth.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting
• Lead statutory accounts preparation under IFRS (including IFRS 16)
• Manage external audit relationships and year-end processes
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end activities
• Handle corporation tax computations and VAT returns
• Drive continuous improvement of financial controls and processes
• Support business expansion through effective financial management

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
• Strong IFRS knowledge and statutory reporting experience
• Multi-site business experience essential
• Advanced Excel skills and analytical capabilities
• Corporation tax and VAT expertise
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent stakeholder management skills

• £55,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
