Job Role: Gut room operative
Hours: 4 on 1 off – 6:30am-5:45pm (Fri,Sat,Sun and Mon off every 5 weeks)
Role Type: Temp to perm
Hourly rate:

Grade 1 - £13.70 per hour - overtime +41.25h £19.18 Monday to Friday- Bonus £10 per day - Saturday OT £24.66
Grade 2 - £14.00 per hour - overtime +41.25h £19.60 Monday to Friday - Bonus £17.50 per day - Saturday OT £25.20
Grade 3 - £15.15 per hour - overtime +41.25h £21.21 Monday to Friday - Bonus £32.50 per day - Saturday OT £27.27

gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit 4 gut room operatives for our client based in Westerleigh, Bristol, BS37. As a Gut room operative, you will work within a team handling and processing pork by-products.

Own transport is required due to the remote location of the site.

Responsibilities:

• Harvesting, processing and distribution of natural pork casings, meat products and pharmaceutical products
• Quality checking of products
• Cleaning and stripping down offal into different animal by-product categories
• Labelling products for correct placement
• Maintain clean working practices to prevent slips and trips and avoid cross-contamination

The ideal candidate must:

• Have a strong tolerance for odors
• Have a strong stomach due to working with stomachs, spleens and intestines.
• Be punctual and have good time management
• Have good eye for detail
• Experience using knife, however not essential as training will be provided
