Handyman

We are seeking a dedicated School Handyman to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in general maintenance and repairs, and who takes pride in ensuring our school environment is safe and welcoming for all.

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical fixtures, and carpentry.
• Oversee the maintenance of the school grounds, including landscaping and cleaning tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors for more complex repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Respond to urgent maintenance calls during school hours.

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
• Knowledge of systems such as plumbing, electrical, and heating is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Relevant certifications in electrical or plumbing work are preferred but not essential.
