Head of Communications, 6-month contract

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join a well-established client on a 6-month contract basis, shaping the external communications strategy during a period of transformation.

• Develop and lead the delivery of communications strategy
• Promote the updated brand through compelling narratives and targeted engagement
• Drive consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels
• Build visibility and influence across industry stakeholders, Government departments, and research & innovation partners.
• Work closely with internal communications to effectively reach a diverse, highly skilled workforce.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure high-impact delivery

• Proven experience in senior communications roles, ideally within R&D, or public sector environments.
• A strong track record of delivering integrated communications strategies and campaigns.
• Experience in brand positioning and reputation management.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with working alongside government and industry stakeholders.
