Our client is recruiting a Head of Finance for a fixed term 12 month contract to be based in North East England working largely remotely with occasional travel to London, perhaps 2 days a month.
The client is a high profile Registered Charity operating with a global network, an excellent working culture and very high standards of professionalism.
The role will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management including financial and management accounting and planning and analysis.
At a detailed level, this will include the following
Management of the finance team and all financial accounting and reporting.
Review of monthly management reports including variance analysis and reforecasts.
Lead on monitoring cash flow.
Delivery of financial reports for the Board,
Oversee the statutory financial annual reporting processes including the preparation for audit.
Annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
Potential candidates should be qualified accountants with experience of strategic planning, performance and risk management. An ability to analyse and clearly communicate financial data to non-financial managers at all levels.
Salary is envisaged to be in the £70,000 to £80,000 pa range, and will not be a restriction for the best candidate.
