Finance Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Yeovil | Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week | On-site
Sector: Education | Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)

Butler Rose have been appointed on an exclusive basis to recruit a Head of Finance at a leading education provider in Yeovil. This is a full-time, on-site position covering a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly and year-end accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Lead financial planning, including the 3-year plan, ensuring alignment with strategic and curriculum goals.
• Oversee audits, ESFA submissions, VAT returns, payroll, pensions, and project funding compliance.
• Manage the Finance team and financial systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, support and train budget holders, and maintain strong internal controls.
• Provide financial insights to support leadership, project costing, and operational planning.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in financial management, ideally within the education or public sector.
• Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and year-end audit processes.
• Confident user of finance systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
