Head of Finance

Interim Head of Finance for a local authority in London for an initial 3 months. Will pay up to £750 per day, managing a small team within the Housing team.

Description

As the interim Head of Finance you will be responsible for:

• To lead and manage a team within Financial Management, supporting, advising on relevant aspects of strategic finance and business partnering, alongside comprehensive financial direction, support and guidance to a range of Council's services and Directorates.
• Support transformation and business led projects, ensuring that timely and robust financial information is provided to support with decision making and take an active role in shaping outcomes of projects. In addition, ensuring that budgets are realigned to deliver savings targets, reporting timing differences in delivery.
• Provide financial leadership and strategic advice to directorates to enable them to develop robust financial plans and ensure that the future needs of the service are reflected in the Council's medium term financial forecast (MTFF).

Profile

The interim Head of Finance will have significant knowledge of working in a housing department at a local authority and hold a full accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) along with having management experience.

Job Offer

£700-£750 per day, hybrid working.
