Head of Finance

Halliday Marx have partnered with a global media business to hire an Interim Head of Finance to cover maternity for 12 months.

Hybrid working (2/3 days in the office)

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of 4
• Ensuring group accounting policies comply with IFRS
• Communicate changes to accounting policies and practice to relevant stakeholders
• Review complex contracts and ensure accounting treatment is compliant with group policy and IFRS and ensure your team is providing sufficient technical advice to the wider business on such areas
• Review technical summary papers
• Business partnering with other departments (Tax, Treasury, Legal, Corporate Finance)
• Being a key point of contact for the Audit
• Review the group's financial statements and provide technical accounting input where required.
• Additional ad hoc work, projects and analysis
• Oversee the group-wide hedging and foreign exchange
• Provide tax reporting for the group and liaise directly with tax team
• Oversee the review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee and advise on statutory account filing and compliance globally

Requirements

• Immediately available
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Audit background
• Lots of controllership experience
• Very comfortable and experienced with managing a team
