Head of Fund Finance - Real Estate

Our client, a prestigious global Asset Manager is seeking a Head of Fund Finance & Operations to oversee their multi-billion pounds UK Real Estate portfolio.

You will lead a high-performing large finance and operations team, including three direct reports, delivering specialist accounting, financial, and operational support across a broad range of real estate fund structures. This role also plays a pivotal part in driving transformational change and achieving operational excellence to support the firm's strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for the team, spearheading change management and continuous improvement initiatives across fund finance operations
• Ensure robust control, accuracy, and compliance in accounting, NAV pricing, taxation, reporting, and performance measurement for various fund structures, including unit trusts, limited partnerships, PAIFs, and offshore entities.
• Act as the senior representative in board meetings, internal committees, and with key external stakeholders such as investors, auditors, depositaries, and regulatory bodies
• Oversee relationships with third-party providers (e.g., administrators, trustees, valuers) and ensure compliance with investment guidelines and regulatory standards
• Lead operational aspects of fund launches, terminations, and other complex change initiatives
• Contribute to the firm's property business management committee, ensuring effective risk identification and mitigation, policy development, and oversight of third-party service providers

Minimum Requirements

• Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Proven experience in real estate and/ or infrastructure fund operations within financial services
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing large teams
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and Luxembourg
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication capabilities
• A strong understanding of accounting, taxation, regulatory reporting, and operational best practices for real estate structures
