Head of Health and Safety - 9 Month Contract Hybrid

We currently seek a Head of Health and Safety to work for commercial business closely aligned to Local Authorities providing local services, housing and also leisure centres. The role is on an interim basis for 9 months. 

Role - Group Head of Health and Safety

Rate - 450 - 550 a day

Location Hounslow, London - Hybrid

The role

You will be responsible for managing the development of existing health and safety systems, the implementation of robust and auditable processes and programs. The focus is clearly safety of employees and the general public as well as compliance to current and future legislation.

Key requirements (most of the following)

• Relevant degree – Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science.. etc
• Certifications – Certified Safety Professional CSP, Occupation Health and Safety Technologist OHST, Chartered membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health CMIOSH
• NEBOSH certification (required) Diploma (beneficial)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Law and Best Practice
• Health and Safety Management experience
• Experience of Audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Proficiency in H&S management systems and tools

The client is also keen on anybody with experience working for Local Authority experience or who have worked with an associated body e.g. LACTO
