?? Location: Surbiton / Wimbledon (hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days remote, with occasional travel)
?? Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends)
?? Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (pro rata)
?? Start: Immediate (2-3 months, with potential to extend)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of HR Shared Services to join us on a temporary basis for our client. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role, oversee people operations, and make an immediate impact by driving efficiency and compliance in our HR processes.

You'll lead a small team responsible for HR systems, recruitment, and transactional services - ensuring our people managers have the tools and support they need to deliver effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and improvement of HR Shared Services.
• Manage HR systems (Core HR & Tribepad), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee payroll inputs, contracts, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and policy updates.
• Lead recruitment operations, ensuring safe, inclusive, and cost-effective practices.
• Partner with senior leaders to align HR services with organisational strategy.
• Develop, motivate, and support a small HR administration and systems team.

About You

• Degree in HR/Business/Management or CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (essential for immediate start).
• Proven track record in HR operations or shared services leadership.
• Strong knowledge of HR Information Systems and supplier contract management.
• Experience improving HR processes and delivering customer-focused services.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Confident in managing complex HR processes and providing expert guidance.
