Role: Head of Procurement

Location: Braintree

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week

Salary: £24.00 an hour, weekly pay (£50,000 per annum)

Temporary position, with the opportunity to go permanent

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Head of Procurement to join a fast-paced client based in Braintree

Our client is seeking an individual that has extensive knowledge within the Aerospace / Aviation industry and proven track record of success.

Duties of Head of Procurement:

• Lead and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
• Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to meet quality, price, and delivery targets.
• Oversee contracts, negotiations, and compliance with legal and company standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage procurement risks.
• Manage purchasing budgets, reporting, and inventory requirements across departments.

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience in a similar role within an Aviation MRO environment
• Proven track record of success in procurement and supplier management
• CIPS Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply (desirable)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn Aerotrac
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset
• A self-starter with great attention to detail and a disciplined approach
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Must be a driver, with own vehicle
