Head of Procurement - Immediate Start

Role: Head of Procurement

Location: Saffron Walden, moving to Braintree Sept 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM TO 16:30PM, 40 hours a week

Salary: £24.00 an hour, weekly pay (£50,000 per annum)

Must be a driver, due to location change

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Head of Procurement to join a fast growing client based in Saffron Walden.

Duties of a Head of Procurement:

• Develop and enforce purchasing policies and procedures
• Source, select, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
• Negotiate and manage contracts to meet budget and delivery targets
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
• Maintain approved vendor database and strong supplier relationships
• Oversee purchase orders, inventory levels, and procurement reporting
• Manage team operations, budgets, and compliance with company standards
• Ensure accuracy in admin, systems, and health & safety adherence

What we would like from you:

• Proven experience in a similar Aviation MRO role
• CIPS Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Supply Chain and Procurement
• Confident with Word, Excel, and open to learning Aerotrac
• Strong communicator, negotiator, and customer-focused
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude and eye for detail
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn
