Interim Head of Product (Data Platforms)

We are working with a leading Media Organisation to recruit an interim Head of Product to oversee the unification of multiple data platforms into one which will be designed to capture audience behaviour.

Title: Head of Product (Data Platforms)
Duration: 4 months (start ASAP)
Rate: £600 - £650 per day DOE (inside)
Onsite: 2 days in office (Soho)

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead the product strategy and roadmap for the internal data platform during a key transitional phase
• Provide high-level product consultancy to support the ongoing unification of multiple legacy data systems into a single platform
• Act as product owner/consultant across stakeholders, aligning platform capabilities with business and editorial needs
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear product direction
• Ensure delivery aligns with agile best practices and high engineering standards
• Guide decisions on appropriate technology and platform architecture in collaboration with engineering teams

Experience and knowledge required:

• Strong experience in product management, including roadmap creation, development, lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning
• Skilled in writing and reviewing product specs, proposals, and reports
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in agile environments, with deep understanding of agile and software delivery practices
• Confident in planning, forecasting, and managing product budgets
