Head of Property

Reed are supporting a Greater Manchester Local Authority in their recruitment to an Interim Head of Property. In this role, you will have responsibility for the operation Estate and Facilities Management services across a number of sites. 

This pivotal role involves leading the delivery of a Land and Property Business Plan with significant line management responsibility. You will help ensure compliance with legal and statutory regulations, maintaining a forward-looking, environmentally conscious approach.

• Develop and maintain key assets and services leading change programmes to ensure estate and facilities are well-maintained and responsive to emerging needs.
• Provide strategic oversight of Estate Planning within the organisation, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
• Manage the full range of hard and soft FM services, including statutory, planned, and reactive maintenance.
• Oversee the commercial and performance management of Estates contracts, managing multi-million-pound estate and building programmes.

• Proven experience in a senior property and/or estates management role, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong leadership skills with significant experience in managing teams and contractors.
• Expert knowledge of estate management, facilities operations, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
