Health and Safety Officer

CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Health and safety Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.

·Pay Rate - £16.45 per/hr

·Location – DAERA, Health and Safety Coordination Branch

·Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum

·Hours – 37 hours per week

Responsibilities will include:

· Providing H&S advice and guidance to staff and senior management.

· Reviewing incidents, risk assessments etc

· Obtaining equipment, training and PPE quotes.

· Drafting intranet comms, drafting email advice, reviewing policies, carrying out H&S inspections / audits and attending site visits.

Essential Experience/Qualifications

· The Nebosh General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

AND

· A full current driving licence enabling the licence holder to drive vehicles in Northern Ireland and access to a form of transport.

Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications

Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.

If you believe your qualification is equivalent to the one required, the onus is on you to provide the panel with details of modules studied etc so that a well-informed decision can be made.
