HGV 1 Shunter Driver

Position: Shunter Driver
Location: Banbury
Duration: Adhoc holiday cover throughout June & July
Salary: Days: £14.20 / Nights £17.57p.h

Pertemps are looking for a Shunter Driver to cover a various adhoc holiday dates for our client based in Banbury using a Tug unit.
Duties will include:
" Reporting to the Shift Manager
" Being responsible for the safe movement of trailer units
" Manoeuvring both laden and unladen trailers around the site, onto storage or loading bays
" Using a Tug unit
" Coupling and uncoupling of trailers
" Adhering to strict Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures

To be considered for this role you will need to live within a 30-minute commute of Banbury and have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
" Must hold an HGV 1 UK driving licence (Cat CE)
" Experience using a Tug Unit is an advantage.
" Must have at least 180 days experience driving a Class 1 vehicle in the UK in the last 2 years.
" Have a maximum of 6 points for minor offences, no DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes.
" Hold a valid CPC DQC
" Hold a valid Tachograph Card
" Previous experience using a Tug unit would be an advantage.
