Job Description - HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver – Day, Night & Weekend Shifts Available

Pertemps, are in partnership with Royal Mail, the UK’s designated Universal Postal Service Provider, we are recruiting Class C+E (Class 1) Drivers in Gatwick, Croydon, Woking and Rochester. If you're ready to get on the road, our friendly onsite teams are prepared to get you started immediately.

What You'll Be Doing:

After successfully completing an assessment, you’ll be responsible for trunking parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide. With minimal manual handling involved and weekly scheduling, this is a reliable role offering flexibility and consistency.

We welcome drivers who are available for weekend work, or who prefer afternoon or evening start times.

Requirements:

Hold a valid Class 1 licence for at least 2 years
Have no more than 5 penalty points
Not carry any DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements
Be able to pass a CRB security check during registration
