HGV Class 1 Driver

CLASS 1 DRIVERS - DAYS OR NIGHTS

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 0600 or 1800 STARTS

£17.00 PER HOUR DAYS

£18.00 PER HOUR NIGHTS

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Middleton, Manchester.

Rates of Pay

• £17.00 per hour Monday - Friday days
• £18.00 hour Monday - Friday nights

Day to Day Duties

• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Complete 2-4 store deliveries per shift
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Carry out vehicle inspections and report any faults to management
• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner
• Communicate any issues / delays effectively
• Abide by all working time rules and regulations
• Complete any necessary paperwork

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• At least twelve months experience driving Category CE vehicles
• Hold a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than six points for MINOR offences (No IN10, DR10, DD10)
• Good customer service and communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience with store deliveries would be an advantage

Training

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
• Paid site induction
