Are you a qualified HGV Class 1 / C+E driver looking to gain experience in the logistics/ distribution industry? Do you have proven warehouse experience and the ability to be flexible and adaptable? Our client in the Central Birmingham area is looking for a HGV relief driver who is happy to work in the warehouse and jump in both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles as required to help support in peak periods and to cover driver holiday/ sickness.

This role will involve:
- Picking and packing of automotive parts using PPT and Handheld scanners
- Loading and unloading of trailers using Counterbalance Forklift (license required)
- General housekeeping duties in both the warehouse and the vehicles
- Local deliveries in Class 1 & 2 vehicles, shunting automotive parts between different depots in the West Midlands area
- Safe strapping / securing of loads as required
- Accurate use of digi-tachograph to track driving hours and remain within guidelines

Successful HGV Relief Drivers will:
- Hold a full, clean HGV C+E License with in-date CPC & Digi-Tacho cards
- Some driving experience preferred but NOT ESSENTIAL
- Previous warehouse experience, with knowledge of how to pick parts with handheld scanners and PPT
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance and/ or Reach truck license
- Adaptability, happy to cover different areas of the business as required (Warehousing and driving)

Pay Rates, Shifts & Benefits:
- Mon-Thurs: 05:00-13:15, Fri: 05:00-13:00
- 38.5 hours per week (overtime offered as required)
- £14.50 p/h / £29,030 per annum (+ shift allowance for driving across afternoons/ weekends)
- Weekly or Monthly pay via BACS (PAYE)
