HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

We are urgently requiring HGV refuse driver to work with our client in Rotherham. This will be part of the Waste Collection Team. This is a full time role, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday with a possible Saturday.

Role

• Safely carry out waste collections across the Borough, including collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties
• Responsible for the waste collection vehicle and supervise the work of the waste management operatives on the vehicle

Requirements

• Experience of working within a waste collection environment, preferably kerbside waste/recycling collections and be able to operate as part of a team
• Ability to walk distances at a minimum of 8 to 10 miles per day as this is a physically demanding role, must be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace
• Input daily updates on the Bartec 'in cab’ system and report contamination
• HGV category C2 driving licence, CPC and Digi Tacho
• Good customer services skills and an ability to work within a team
