Hooklift Driver

Location: Edinburgh East
Job Type: Temporary ongoing
Rate of pay: £14.76 per hour
Working Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off

We are seeking a skilled Hooklift Driver to support operations at our Client's busy Recycling Centre. You will play a crucial role in the efficient collection and transport of recyclable materials, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate hooklift vehicles to collect and transport recycling containers.
Deliver materials to and from various recycling facilities and client sites.
Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with safety standards.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
Work closely with the recycling team to maintain high operational efficiency.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
Current CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
Valid tacho card
Previous experience operating hooklift vehicles is essential.
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
Knowledge of Edinburgh's road network and surrounding areas.
A positive attitude and ability to work independently.
