High Level Teaching Assistant- SEN

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN support professional looking to make a meaningful impact in children's lives?

We are currently seeking a dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Stockport, working with students who have complex and additional learning needs.

• Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, ASC, MSI, and sensory impairments.
• Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
• Support behaviour management strategies and encourage positive interactions.
• Provide personal care and mobility support as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents and professionals.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  
  

• Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) - must be current or willing to apply for one.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in UK schools.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma - essential.
• HLTA qualification or willingness to work towards it - preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies and assistive technologies.
• Experience in moving and handling students with physical needs across varied settings (e.g. classroom, pool, gym, residential units).
