About Us:

We are working with a highly inclusive primary school in the borough of Havering. They are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school sets high expectations for all pupils, and they provide high quality pastoral care. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you would be responsible for working with a range of children with additional needs. The role would involve covering classes Reception – Year 6 when required. Alongside this, you would be required to support with Year 5 interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover class and teach lessons.
• Deployed across the school to cover classes.
• Have good organisational skills.
• Have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Provide one-on-one support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required.
• Planning interventions as required.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent
• Experience: Previous experience of teaching in EYFS, KS1, KS2
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• Desirable: Experience teaching classes within a primary school
