Hays Education are currently working with a primary school in the Ormskirk area to support them with a live vacancy they are recruiting for. This is a warm and friendly school with an excellent reputation within the community. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join this vibrant and supportive team. This job role is due to start in September and is due to continue through until October half term as a minimum - this could be a permanent opportunity should you fit well into the role.

Your new role
This job will require you to work primarily in the Teaching Assistant role but also lead classes at least one afternoon a week within the juniors. You will be fully involved in all teaching and learning activities in KS2, so you must have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum. You must set high expectations and provide an excellent teaching and learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• Provide experience working in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting children's learning.
